I am new here. Please let me know if there's a better group for this question.
We are going to be setting up goldmine, a contact management app, that uses sql 2005 workgroup edition. We have an SBS 2003 box that will store the data. Goldmine will be installed on a windows 2003 server.
We don't know where SQL needs / should be installed - with the data or with goldmine? Or doesn't it matter? I am trying to keep the SBS box clear of other apps, so I'd prefer sql on the windows box with goldmine. THere's a gigabit connection between the servers, so would you think sepearting the data from the app (and SQL?) would cause performance problems? I really don't know much at all about sql.
Goldmine didn't know where SQL should be installed. They don't really support it they said?!
thanks!
Mike
