[Access VBA Central] Macro to Link and Unlink Tables

I would like to run a macro that will

1) Allow the user to select a database to link to
2) Link to all the tables in that database
3) Run some other actions based on the linked tables
4) Unlink the tables when other actions are run

I have looked at using the built in linktables RunCommand option but I think it is a little more complex than I want for my users. Has anyone run into code that does something like this?
